Having more hours in the day wouldn’t solve your problems.
I hear this often “I just wish there were more hours in the day!”. And look I get it. Life is busy and full and we have lots of demands and things pulling us in 101 directions.
But that’s just the thing. We are already doing too much on too little energy. So if you had extra hours they would just get filled with more doing, more tasks, more chores.
Most clients come to me feeling like they are running on caffeine and stress. They spend their days in a tired but wired cycle, on the edge of a crash, constantly wondering how they keep going and knowing it isn’t sustainable. Do you really want to spend more hours feeling that way?
This is why I strongly believe time isn’t the issue. It’s not having enough energy.
If you had more energy, what you did with your time would be so much more efficient, productive and feel so much lighter and easier to carry.
So as a knock on effect, you’d have more energy, time and headspace for the things that light you up. You wouldn’t get to the end of the day and feel like you have nothing left to give your partner/kids/family/friends.
If you had more energy you’d more through your day with more ease and flow. Stress would bounce off you more easily. You’d get more done in less time. You’d finish your day and go hmm….I don’t feel a burn out shell I actually have capacity left.
That’s the dream right? You’re ambitious. You’re not after a slow, dull life you want to be bold, live big, go after those audacious dreams of yours! But you just don’t want to keep doing it on hard mode.
Energy is the answer to that. Energy is freedom. It’s the foundation on which everything else in life blossoms and grows.
So instead of getting fixated on having more time or trying to time block or hack your way through each day...focus on restoring and rebuilding your energy daily. Putting fuel back in the tank and filling your cup so you can recover from the day and wake up the following morning with heaps of healthy energy to get stuck into your goals.
