Do you know anyone who says they aren't busy? No, me neither.
Busyness is part of modern life these days. And while we could say the solution is to just take things off the to do list- for a lot of us that isn't always possible.
The truth is busyness doesn't cause us to burn out. Not having daily habits that fill our cup is what leads us to run on empty.
Let me give you an analogy here because I know some of you will be like "hmm Elise not sure I agree with that",.
Think about athletes. They train hours every day. They train multiple times every day. They place huge demands on their bodies and minds, day after day after day.
How can they do this? How do they not burn out and just crash?
Because they place a HUGE emphasis on recovery. On putting fuel back in the tank. On resting and recharging so they can come back stronger.
This approach is something we can take into our own lives.
